About
Alexander Armstrong, 40, was born in Northumberland. He was educated at Durham School and Cambridge University. In the early 90s he teamed up with Ben Miller, and in 1996 their sketch show earned them a Perrier nomination at the Edinburgh Festival. Since then, Armstrong & Miller have made radio and television series and this year they won a Bafta for best comedy programme. Their first book has just been published and their current series is on BBC1.
