Kathleen Turner, 59, was born in Missouri. She studied theatre at the University of Maryland. In 1981, she made her first film, Body Heat, and became a star. Her other films include Romancing The Stone and Peggy Sue Got Married – which earned her an Oscar nomination. Her Broadway and West End roles include The Graduate and Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? She has a 26-year-old daughter, Rachel Ann, from her 20-year marriage to real-estate agent Jay Weiss. They divorced in 2007. Now single, she lives in New York. From 10 May until 30 August, she appears in Bakersfield Mist at the Duchess Theatre in London.
