I would like to say sorry to my ex-girlfriend. I was with her for 10 years. I wish I’d treated her with more respect and been kinder at the end.
To my daughter, because she felt that I spent too much time saving other children. I would go to war zones and travel the world for human rights work, and she was missing me.
Lee Warburton. He had just left drama school and was doing the Alexander technique in the Corrie green room. I hadn’t been to drama school, and really took the piss out of him.
When I was little, this boy would bully my friend and me all the time. One day, on our way home, we held him, put him to the ground and pushed his face full on into this big dog poo, and I’d like to say sorry.
After my documentary aired. I suddenly had a bit of panic, because it’s very personal. I couldn’t watch it on the night, I was so scared. The next day people were walking up to me on the street and telling me their life story. It was extraordinary.
Having my family closer.
I had no idea. When I was a week away from leaving school, a teacher said, “We’ve been talking in the staffroom and we all think you should be an actor.” I thought, “That’s exactly what I want.” The rest is history.
I would have had a bit more belief in myself: I would have reached for America sooner.
I was a bailiff for half a morning. I couldn’t stand it.
