View all 44 →In one month, two of my old prejudices were reversed. Two things that I was prejudiced against.
I always thought I would be a terrible driver because I’m sort of a wafty person, but it turns out I am very good at staying in between the lines. I passed my test last year.
I mean, the first thing that comes to mind is like in high school I was reading a bunch of Ayn Rand, like objectivist, all super black and white, basically like f the poor, people should work harder, they should try harder. And now as a 30-year-old I’m basically like all about trying to help the poor or trying to help the planet in different ways. Trying to make the world a better place. It’s like a full 180 from the black and white that I was into in high school.

Monday to Friday, very, very industriously from ten in the morning ’til about six in the evening, I just sat and wrote, and revised and revised, and wrote.

Love, in so many different manifestations... normally a calm feeling, an intense and rich feeling that is based on a very beautiful emotion of connection with people, and space on earth, and in the world. Love, and respect, and admiration, and appreciation, these things flow easily into eachother.
