Born in London, Julian Lloyd Webber, 72, studied at the Royal College of Music before becoming a solo cellist. His recordings include the Brit award-winning Elgar Cello Concerto conducted by Yehudi Menuhin and he has premiered many new works by composers such as Malcolm Arnold and Philip Glass. Lloyd Webber played at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics before his retirement from playing in public two years later. He has two children and lives in London with his fourth wife, Jiaxin Cheng, also a cellist. Bach Revealed by Julian and Jiaxin Lloyd Webber tours the UK this summer.
