Paul Weller, 56, was raised in Woking. A singer-songwriter and guitarist, he started the Jam in 1972. In 1977, the band had the first of many hits with In The City. The band split in 1982 and he went on to found the Style Council, who recorded the number one album Our Favourite Shop. Since 1991, he has branched out into a successful solo career; his latest album, More Modern Classics, is a collection of tracks from the last 15 years. He has seven children and lives in London with his wife, singer Hannah Andrews, and their twin sons.
