About
Roland Mouret, 50, was born in Lourdes, France, the son of a butcher. He went to fashion school in Paris, but dropped out to work as a model, artistic director and stylist before moving to London. He launched his own label at London Fashion Week 1998, and in 2005 unveiled the Galaxy dress that made his name. This year he opened a flagship store in London and on 30 September will show his spring/summer collection for 2012 in Paris. He will also launch e-commerce on rolandmouret.com this autumn. He divides his time between London and Suffolk.
