Sofie Gråbøl, 45, was born in Denmark and started acting at 17. In 2007, she starred as Sarah Lund in TV drama The Killing. She is in The James Plays at the Edinburgh international festival from 10 August, then at the National Theatre. She is divorced and lives in Copenhagen with her two children.

Most recently, going to a 1D concert at Wembley with my nine-year-old daughter. Seeing her dream becoming real. The highlight was meeting a nice man in the elevator when it was over, who gave her Harry's autograph. Turned out to be his dad. To my daughter that was like meeting the archangel Gabriel.
