A kitchen porter at some big telecom office in Wimbledon. I was also a kitchen porter at L’Escargot and, while I was there, a model for Gilbert and George. It was a quick £15 and they were terribly nice.
A cafeteria in Glasgow where the manager was horrible. I walked out and got a great job in a betting shop.
I worked in a TGI Fridays when I was 19 and came to London for the first time. It was absolutely horrible and I got fired after two weeks.
Caddying for really rich people at this country club in Connecticut when I was a teenager. They would talk like I wasn’t there so I would hear all about their lives, their affairs and their stupidity, and yet I couldn’t say anything.
Not working and not being able to continue to live this lifestyle.
Scuba diving in Costa Rica. My stunt double and I were trying out some equipment that let us talk to each other and I ran out of air at 80ft - probably because I talked too much. I had to use his air. Then we were surrounded by sharks. It was scary.
