Born in Alabama, Candi Staton, 76, began singing in a Baptist church at the age of five. Her hits include the disco anthems Young Hearts Run Free, first released in 1976, and 1986’s You Got The Love. In June, she appears at Under The Bridge in London as part of her Young Hearts Run Free 40th anniversary tour. She has been married five times and lives in Atlanta.
