Born in Arkansas, John Grisham, 60, worked as a lawyer before his first legal thriller, A Time To Kill, was published in 1989. His next, The Firm, became the bestselling novel of 1991, and he has since written a novel a year, many going on to become films. His latest is Rogue Lawyer. He is married with two children and lives in Virginia.
