Born in Harlow, Laura Kenny, 24, had a collapsed lung and asthma as a child, and was advised to take up sport to improve her fitness. She won two track cycling gold medals at the 2012 London Olympics and two more in Rio last year, to become Great Britain’s most decorated female Olympian. She is married to the track cyclist Jason Kenny and lives in Cheshire. Their book, The Inside Track, is out now.
