Perez Hilton, 31, grew up in Miami. At 18, he moved to New York to try his hand at acting, but he became a magazine writer instead. In 2004 he started a gossip blog about celebrities, perezhilton.com, which within months had been dubbed "Hollywood's most hated website". It is now one of the top 1,000 sites in the world. He also has a radio show and a record label, Perezcious Music.
