About
Philip Treacy, 47, was born in County Galway, Ireland. As a child, he made clothes for his sister's dolls, and he went on to study fashion at Dublin's National College of Art and Design, and millinery at the Royal College of Art. His work came to the attention of Tatler style editor Isabella Blow, who became his mentor. His hats are worn by royalty as well as Madonna and Lady Gaga. He lives in London with his partner, Stefan Bartlett.
