My mother, because I didn’t appreciate how proud she was of me being deputy prime minister. She ended up doing more press than me, and I was too sensitive and reacted.
My first wife, because I left her.
Katie Whittaker. When we were at school, I told her I knew Take That, and I didn’t.
My children. I was away an awful lot when they were little and not very good at being a father when I was around. I could have done better.
Not giving up on myself. As a gay black man things are, at times, more difficult.
My son, Jason, because he has overcome so much and continues to keep a smile on his face, and I just love that.
