On Angela's Ashes, Alan Parker said to me, 'You've got the Bafta, just get in the door.' I was walking along the street to go into a shop and he saw me milking it a bit. It was a really good piece of advice.
It would be a racist comment.
Somebody once told me I was the spitting image of David Cameron.
I’ll never amount to anything. Who? He was my rival at dance school. It hurt and is something that I’ve always had in the back of my head to defy.
That episode of Succession, probably because it reminded me of my dad.
So yeah, that’s what I always come back to when I need to be inspired. Go outside. Go be with some art. Then go make some art.

This time I wanted to live a bit more, which is why I wanted to do it in London. I didn’t want to entirely give up my social life, my personal life. I didn’t want it to become a 24/7 thing for me. I got to go home at night to my own home and maybe go out to drink with a mate or spend time with my dog and my partner.
Also, having a great team around you is so important. People that you can talk to and who work hard as well, and who you trust and you can have fun with—that’s really important.
I would edit out all the times I smoked a cigarette.
