Annie Mac, 31, was born in Dublin. Having studied at Queen's University in Belfast, she moved to London where she worked as a radio plugger, a broadcasting assistant and presenter for the student radio network SBN. In July 2004 she was given her own show on Radio 1 and since September 2009 she has hosted the prestigious Friday 7-9pm slot. On 5 June, her Annie Mac Presents club night celebrates its first birthday at Koko in Camden, north London.
