About
Clare Balding, 39, was born in Hampshire and educated at Cambridge University. In 1989 and 1990, she was a leading amateur flat jockey, and went on to become a trainee with BBC Radio. In 1995, she made her debut as a TV presenter during Royal Ascot, and is now one of the BBC's main sports anchors, fronting its live horseracing coverage and, for the last decade the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and the Winter Olympics. She lives in London with her partner.

This may sound nauseating, but I am a very happy person. I love my work, I love my life and I'm told by those who know/love me that it's a bit like living with Tigger. Bloody annoying, I should think.
