Tony Robinson, 66, was born in London. He went to drama school and became an actor in repertory theatre. Between 1983 and 1989 he played Baldrick in the BBC comedy series Blackadder. Since 1994 he has presented Time Team for Channel 4; his other TV shows include Man On Earth and The Worst Jobs In History. He is also an award-winning children's author. He has been married twice, has two children and lives in London.
