If I were a religious person, my first question would be "Where the hell is God?" But I never expected him to be on the job.
Well, I'd say that I'm actually optimistic about the future of our country. That's not a sentiment most people share today. Especially on the Right, it's increasingly common to feel pessimistic about America. You know, to be 'blackpilled', as they say online. And it's understandable – I too see all the chaos and destruction this Regime is inflicting on our country and the American people. But I really do believe that we can get the pendulum to swing back our way, that we can win this fight and rebuild America. That's why I'm running for office.
I feel we are in danger of vanilla-fying and perfecting and asphalting over the thing that makes us human, which are our fallibility, our mess, and our inaccuracy, all of which creates the tension, ... .
For power to stay in power, the powerful have to impose some level of fear over the people that they are in power over. If you have power, you make decisions and if you make decisions you can probably keep power.
I always say: "They throw me on stage and they throw me off!" I get so carried away, I carry on singing … once I played for two and a half hours. I always say to my guy, please let me know I gotta get off 15 minutes before, because I hate to rush. Give me a flashlight or something. Because I never want to get into a place where they say: "He wouldn't come off!"
My worst habit was drugs, though I haven't done that in 20 years. Cocaine makes you smoke cigarettes and the two of them make you drink. If you are fortunate, you grow up; if you are not fortunate, you go out.
