Born in London, Maloney, 71, was a chef before pursuing a career as a boxing promoter, managing David Haye, Rendall Munroe and Lennox Lewis. In 2014, Maloney changed her name to Kellie and announced she was embarking on gender reassignment. She has published two autobiographies, and the documentary, Knock Out Blonde: The Kellie Maloney Story, is available to stream on the IFC channel now. Twice divorced, with three daughters, she lives in Portugal and Kent.

The pope. I was brought up in the Catholic religion, and I think he is trying to make the church more accepting of all. He’s got a very hard job because the church is very stuck in its rightwing conservative ways.
